KELLY HARRIS-DEBERRY is an award-winning poet and the author of Freedom Knows My Name. Her poems have been published in various publications and art project. In 2022 her poem "Post-Katrina Blues" was translated and displayed in Germany. Kelly is a nationally respected arts consultant. She has served as a literary coordinator for Poets & Writers Inc. and was a guest poetry editor for Bayou magazine. She serves as a national advisor to Literary Maps, a national initiative of the Smithsonian, and is a recipient of fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center and Cave Canem.
