Johnette Downing, 2017 Louisiana Writer Award recipient, is a musician, author, illustrator, and haiku poet who has performed on five continents and has received dozens of awards for her 30 books and 11 recordings. Her latest book is Singing Waters, A Selection of Haiku, Senryu, and Haibun published by buddha baby press, an imprint of bottle rockets press (Spring 2022). Singing Waters is a collection of over 100 of her previously published poems.
