Charles deGravelles is a writer and musician and a deacon in the Episcopal Church. His poems and stories have been published in periodicals and anthologies such as The Southern Review, Louisiana Literature, and Wide Awake in the Pelican State: Stories by Contemporary Louisiana Writers. He is a chaplain and teacher at Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, and a volunteer chaplain at Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. His band, Shadrach and the Tongues of Fire, plays a variety of rock, blues and Gospel.
